111,471 students take Chemistry, 17,208 students take Geography on 4th day of 2024 matric exam

The 2024 matriculation examination (new curriculum) continued its fourth day yesterday. A total of 111,471 students sat for the Chemistry subject exam, and 17,208 students took the Geography subject exam across the nation, including overseas exam centres.
This year, a total of 841 exam centres, including 11 overseas exam centres and 830 exam centres at home, are open for students. Altogether, 125,870 students registered to sit for the matriculation examination, and 111,471 students sat for Chemistry with 14,399 absentees. Meanwhile, a total of 20,651 students registered for Geography, and 17,208 students sat for Geography with 3,443 absentees. The number of students sitting for exams accounted for 83.33 per cent, according to the figures of the Ministry of Education. — MNA/KTZH
