Thukha Dagon market to be built at Thukha Dagon public rental housing complex

Officials seen explaining the situation of Thukha Dagon market’s construction to the Yangon Region chief minister.

On 28 April, Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, along with ministers, inspected the site designated for the construction of the Thukha Dagon market, which will comprise 392 stalls, at the Thukha Dagon public rental housing complex in Dagon Myothit (South) Township of Yangon.
The market will encompass seven sheds, an open-air market area, a management office, public toilets, and a car parking lot. Following officials’ explanation of the construction progress, the chief minister provided the necessary instructions.
Additionally, the chief minister and his team inspected the entrance gate of the Thukha Dagon public rental housing complex, constructed by the Department of Urban and Housing Development under the Ministry of Construction. — TWA/TRKM
