Reports indicate that the second contingent of Korean artistes, slated to participate in the Nay Pyi Taw Walking Thingyan event, arrived in Yangon yesterday evening. Their visit aims to foster cultural exchange and feature performances at the traditional Myanmar Thingyan Festival.
Comprising five Korean artistes led by DJ/Performer Lee Saemi, the group landed at Yangon International Airport and received a warm welcome from officials of Myanma Radio and Television. Welcoming staff waved the flags of both countries and held placards bearing the photos and names of the artistes.
The artistes will be accommodated at Thamada Hotel before their departure for Nay Pyi Taw on 12 April. Another group of 19 K-pop artistes is scheduled to arrive in Yangon on 14 April, with plans to perform at the Friday Night Live Show on 12 April. — MNA/TRKM
