Drugs seized in Chanmyathazi, Lashio townships

A combined team, including members of the Anti-Drug Police Force, inspected a suspect named Ma Ei Myat Nanda Htun, also known as Kay Kay, in Chanmyathazi township at 2 pm on 21 April. The team successfully apprehended 0.012 kilogramme of Happy Water and 0.008 kilogramme of ketamine.
Following the interrogation of Ma Ei Myat Nanda Htun, the combined team arrested Ma Nanda Hlaing from her residence in Chanmyathazi township at 2:30 pm. She was found in possession of 0.075 kilogramme of Happy Water and 1.364 kilogrammes of ketamine.
Similarly, the police force apprehended Thein Than Oo, also known as Ah Chin, involved in drug trafficking, at his residence at 3 pm in Chanmyathazi township. Another suspect, Myint Oo, also known as Ah Chaing, was arrested at 5 pm in Chanmyathazi township, with 0.015 kilogramme of Happy Water and 0.02 kilogramme of ketamine found in his possession, along with a Ford vehicle. Subsequently, 0.285 Kilogramme of Happy Water and 0.297 kilogramme of ketamine were seized from his residence at 6 pm in Chanmyathazi township.
Additionally, at 7:45 am on the same day, the police searched Yan Lu’s and his wife’s farmhouse in Lashio township. They seized 0.59 kilogramme of heroin, 30,000 stimulant tablets, three kilogrammes of opium, four handmade guns, and K7.8 million.
All the offenders are facing prosecution under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Law. — MNA/MKKS
