Bangladeshi Ambassador donates books for National Library (Nay Pyi Taw)

The Bangladeshi ambassador and the deputy minister pose for the documentary group photo at yesterday’s event.

Dr Md Monwar Hossain, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, donated books to the National Library (Nay Pyi Taw) of the Historical Research and National Library Department with a ceremony at the orientation hall of the library in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
The Bangladeshi ambassador first explained the purpose for donating books, followed by handing over books on the history and culture of Bangladesh, art and literature, biodiversity and books on the recent development tour of Bangladesh to the U Aung Myint, Director-General of the Department of Historical Research and National Library, who received and returned the certificate of honour.
Deputy Minister Daw Nu Mra Zan then expressed gratitude for the book donation. The ambassador and the deputy minister exchanged souvenirs, and the ceremony concluded. — MNA/KZL
